Meanwhile, former BC Lions offensive lineman Angus Reid was in town with fellow Lions alumni JR LaRose as speakers at a workshop before they were brought out to work with the area’s young gridiron talent.

Reid won two Grey Cups with the Lions during his playing days and has been travelling the world as a motivational speaker and coaching high school football down in Vernon.

LaRose, who hails from Edmonton and played junior football with the Edmonton Huskies ahead of a 10-year career in the CFL, was previously in Prince George during the summer when the Kodiaks held their golf tournament.

Reid spent the Wednesday night practice working with some of the areas offensive lineman, many who will be competing for spots on the Kodiaks roster during training camp.

LaRose spent the night working alongside Raymond with the Kodiaks 7-on-7 teams, one of many different programs operating under the Kodiaks banner as the organization drives to provide as many opportunities for youth to get involved in the game of football.
