PRINCE GEORGE – The provincial government’s move to ease COVID-19 restrictions last week means people have more options when it comes to travel.

Phones at local travel agencies and hotels are ringing off the hook with people looking to book.

For two days last week, the Bon Voyage Inn had to turn on their No Vacancy sign. Over at the Expedia Cruises travel centre, some cruise ship bookings sold out in days.

According to Miranda Kynoch, the franchise of Expedia Cruises Prince George, most clients are taking shorter all-inclusive trips.

The Bon Voyage saw the first spike in business when the interprovincial restrictions were lifted this past summer.

Regardless of your citizenship or destination, travel agents say it’s essential to understand all the health restrictions before crossing the border.
