One dead in Northern Health from COVID in latest provincial report

VICTORIA — Eight people have died from COVID across the province today with one of those being in the Northern Health region.

COVID cases in hospitals have dropped by 16 since yesterday’s report and one more case has been moved to the intensive care unit.

Two hundred and thirty-five new cases are being reported; however the total number of cases only increased by 174 from Tuesday’s update. This has resulted in no new cases reported in Fraser Health and Vancouver Coastal Health.

One new health care facility (Surrey Memorial Hospital) is dealing with an outbreak. That brings the total up to nine.
