Cougars drop 4-1 decision to Rockets

PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Cougars lost 4-1 to the visiting Kelowna Rockets last night at CN Centre before a crowd of 1702.

The Cougars are now winless in their last five games. The loss keeps the Cougars in ninth place in the Western Conference, one point back of the Victoria Royals who hold the final playoff spot. The Cougars host the Royals on Saturday night.

Special teams were a major factor, with the Cats going 0-3 on the power play and the Rockets going 2-3.

Fischer O’Brien scored the lone Cougars and the Cougars outshot the Rockets 24-22.
