PRINCE GEORGE – With the graduation of Aaron Trotter from junior hockey, the Prince George Spruce Kings knew they’d be on the hunt for a goalie to battle against Jordan Fairlie next year between the pipes.

On Wednesday, the team announced the signing of goaltender Colin Winn for the 2022-23 season. Winn, from Westford MA, spent the 2021- 22 season with the Boston Jr Bruins of the NCDC. He posted a 25-12-5 record, along with a 2.58 GAA, and a .919 save percentage.

“I am super excited to be coming up to Prince George, playing in that barn, and being a part of the community is what I’m looking forward to the most,” explained Winn. “What stood out to me the most about the program is how the staff really wants the best for their players and wants them to move on to the next level.”

The 6’1, 170-pound goaltender also suited up in eight playoff games with the Junior Bruins, and finished with a 4-2 record, and a .921 save percentage. Head Coach Alex Evin says Winn is an athletic goaltender with a lot of potential.
