Spruce Kings remain undefeated after Friday night’s home win

PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Spruce Kings’ record remained perfect following Friday’s (Sept. 30) win over the Vernon Vipers.

In the 4-2 win, the Spruce Kings improved to 3-0 to start the 2022-23 BCHL Regular Season.

The Vipers, on the other hand, are still winless with an opposite record of PG sitting at -03 to start the season.

PG kept its composure throughout the game holding a lead for the majority of the night.

Heading into the third and final frame, the Spruce Kings led 4-1 after a goal late in the second period by Jake Schneider.

The final goal of the game was too late for the Vipers as PG finished the game beating Vernon 4-2.

In the second of the weekend series, the Spruce Kings and the Vipers faceoff again Saturday (Oct. 1) night at Kopar Memorial Arena.
