Silverbacks stun Spruce Kings Saturday handing PG second loss of season

SALMON ARM — The Prince George Spruce Kings have suffered only their second loss of the season following a trip to Salmon Arm.

On Saturday (October 15), the Salmon Arm Silverbacks handed PG a 4-2 loss as Aiden Feddema lost his second start of the season.

Feddema stopped 27 of the 31 shots he faced, while Matthew Tovell stopped 29 of the 31 shots for the Silverbacks.

The loss drops the Spruce Kings to a 6-2 record on the season.

For the Silverbacks, the win improves their record to .500 at 4-4.

A fairly even night was played looking at the shot count knotted at 31 shots a piece but Salmon Arm prevailed.

Prince George now looks to prepare for next week’s BCHL Showcase in Chilliwack where they take on the Coquitlam Express on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.

Following Wednesday’s game, the Spruce Kings play the Surrey Eagles on Thursday at 4:00 p.m.
