Fire on Old Cariboo Highway causes $200k in damages

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire on the 1600 block of the Old Cariboo Highway last night (April 24).

Crews from three fire halls responded at around 7:30 p.m. to find smoke billowing from the front door of the residence.

Crews quickly extinguished the blaze and there were no injuries. Damages are estimated at $200,000.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
