Man arrested in connection with February 2022 homicide in Fort St James

FORT ST JAMES — The North District RCMP has said that a man has been arrested in connection with a homicide that occurred in 2022.

In a news release, it states that on Tuesday, April 25, Thomas Kaylan Duncan was arrested by the North District Major Crime Unit and has been charged with the murder of John Louis Lazarre.

Duncan remains in custody and there are currently no further details.

On February 26, 2022, officers were called to the 800 block of Spruce Road in Fort St. James for a report of a shooting. When they arrived on the scene, they found a 36-year-old man dead from an apparent gun shot wound. At the time a 29-year-old resident of Fort St James, was arrested.
