Murder charge approved in 2022 stabbing

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George RCMP say that a charge has been approved in the fatal stabbing of Devon Lindstrom, which occurred on June 11, 2022 in Prince George.

“The B.C. Prosecution Service approved charges of second-degree murder against 29-year-old Dawson Creek resident Braidan Josie Meck. Meck is known to police and is currently in custody on another matter awaiting his next court appearance,” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

The stabbing occurred at the Fraser Inn on Queensway early that morning.

“As this matter is now before the courts, there will be no further updates,” adds Cooper.
