One person killed in single-vehicle crash in Salmon Valley area

PRINCE GEORGE — Update: Prince George RCMP say that speed and alcohol were likely contributors to the fatal crash.

“With the summer weather finally arriving, and ahead of the May long weekend coming up, Prince George RCMP is reminding motorists to make safe and responsible choices while driving. This means keeping your speed within the posted speed limit, staying sober while driving, and being courteous to other road users,” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

Earlier: One person is dead following a single-vehicle crash in the Salmon Valley area.

RCMP say it happened Thursday night (April 27) just before midnight. Police say the lone occupant in a pickup was killed after his vehicle left Highway 97 and Edric Road and rolled over.
