RCMP provide update on Ingledew Street incident

PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George RCMP have provided an update in what appeared to be an assault on a woman on the 1600 block of Ingledew Street on May 4th.

RCMP say that the female victim was discovered unconscious shortly after 6 am and was taken to hospital for treatment where police now say she later died.

Police say their investigation revealed that the women’s injuries were not the result of a criminal act as they first reported and in fact were related to a medical issue.

The B.C. Coroners Service retains conduct of this investigation and there will be no further updates from police.
