Free transit for cyclists next week

PRINCE GEORGE — BC Transit and the city of Prince George have announced that cyclists will be applicable for free transit next week.

From May 29th to June 4th is Go By Bike Week and those choosing to participate can use transit for free all of next week. To qualify for free transit, customers taking part in Go By Bike Week must use the bus bike racks or show their bike helmet when boarding the bus. All conventional BC Transit buses are equipped with bike racks on the front of the bus, making it easier for cyclists to combine two forms of sustainable transportation when travelling longer distances – or when the weather changes throughout the day and makes cycling less desirable than it was first thing in the morning.

Most bikes can be accommodated on BC Transit buses but please note that bike space is limited and cannot be guaranteed.
