PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Spruce Kings are in the midst if their preseason and with that comes a long road trip down to trail. They are headed to a tournament and are ready to use this as a good experience to grow as a team.

“We’re looking to team bond and this is a long road trip to Trail, but we’re also looking forward to going into the season like a good team and a hard team to beat.”

– Carter Hesselgrave, 5’10 Right Wing from Quesnel, B.C.

Trail is one of the longest road trips the team deals with during the season, but no better time than the present to get into the spirit of traveling because it gives the players time to build chemistry.

“It’s a good chance for us to kind of bond as a team and kind of connect with each other on and off the ice. So, come the regular season, we’re all on the same page and ready to compete at a high level.”

– Owen Goodbrand, 6’2 Centre from Waterdown, ON

They take on Cranbrook, Trail and Powell River during this tournament, and their first regular season game is on Septemeber 23 in Salmon Arm.
