PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Tapestry Singers hit their 17th anniversary this choral season. The choir has been a place for kids ranging from grade 4 to 12 to gather and sing together, with zero experience necessary. They incorporate the skills of the members to enhance the experience for each of them. So, if you dance, well, they’ll let you do that too.

“We’ve had ballet and, um, Highland dancing. We’ve included all kinds of cultural music.”

– Brenda MacDougald , Choir Mom

For the rest of September, the Tapestry Singers are hosting ‘everyone is welcome’ rehearsals with no commitment to sign up, and once the season officially gets underway, the commitment each week isn’t too high.

“It’s actually just a once-a-week, weekly commitment. They do extra rehearsals here and there, but the main commitment is just Thursday. It’s Thursday afternoons for a junior singer for an hour and a half and Thursday evenings for a senior singer for 2 hours.”

– Amanda Prenger, Choir Mom

There is a junior group that includes singers from grades 4 to 7 and then a senior group that includes grades 7 to 12.
