BC Transit adds two new buses to Prince George fleet
PRINCE GEORGE— B.C. Transit has announced the operation of two new Light Duty buses to the Prince George Transit system featuring mobility aids that help provide safe, continuous and reliable transit service for riders.
The total investment into the transit system was over $400,000. The cost was shared between Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP) and, where eligible, costs for infrastructure and fleet investments were shared between the Governments of Canada, the Province, municipalities, and other partners.
Photo Credit: BC TransitBoth buses are 26-foot light- duty ARBOC buses similar to the photo above. One bus is able to carry up to 18 seated passengers and provides flexibility for up to two mobility aids, such as wheelchairs. The second bus can carry 16 seated passengers and includes room for three mobility aids.
