Cougars down T-Birds 5-2

SEATTLE — The Prince George Cougars scored four goals in the third period Tuesday night to defeat the Seattle Thunderbirds 5-2 at the accesso ShoWare Center in Seattle.
Terik Parascak scored the game winning goal, his 29th of the season, with just two minutes left in the third period.
Riley Heidt and Zac Funk added empty-net goals to seal the win. Funk’s goal was his 44th of the season, a league high. Hudson Thornton and Chase Pauls had the other goals for the Cougars, who outshot the hosts, 43-27.
Joshua Ravensbergen got the win in goal. With the win, the Cougars have a record of 32-14-0-2, good for 66 points and top spot in the WHL’s Western Conference.
