PRINCE GEORGE — The city of Prince George, the Regional District of Fraser Fort George and Lheidli T’enneh First Nation are updating the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on communication and cooperation between the groups.

The original document was completed in 2017, and Prince George council will vote to approve two amendments at Monday’s regular meeting.

“Since that time, the three organizations have maintained a close working relationship. Over the last several years, the signatories have committed to a monthly lunch meeting between the Chief, Mayor, Board Chair and their respective Executive Director/CAO’s. This has provided an opportunity for strengthened relationships, information sharing and collaboration,” reads a staff report to council.

The amendments were suggested during a meetings in September and October.
