Cougars comeback to beat Blazers, 5-3

PRINCE GEORGE — A crowd of 3,543 people turned out at CN Centre Sunday afternoon to watch the Prince George Cougars defeat the visiting Kamloops Blazers, 5-3.

The see saw game saw the Cougars take a 2 nothing first period lead on goals by Zac Funk and Bauer Dumanski only to see the Blazers tie it at 2 headed into the first intermission.

Kamloops went ahead 3-2 after Ryan Mitchell’s point shot found its mark at 13:54 of the second period.

But it was all Cougars in the third with three goals in an under five minute span, including Funk’s league leading 46th of the season. It was also the game winner.
