Prince George RCMP investigating second homicide of 2024

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George RCMP are investigating their second homicide of 2024.

The homicide occurred on the 800-block of Victoria Street due to a shooting shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday night. When officers arrived, police found a deceased male.

“The increase in gun violence in Prince George, along with the recent theft of firearms from a gas station, is concerning and our police officers are working tirelessly to apprehend those who are responsible for these crimes,” says Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.

She says investigators are looking for any dash cam, cell phone, or video surveillance footage from the area between the hours of 10:45 p.m. and 11:35 p.m. Tuesday night.

The first homicide of the year occurred January 5 at Mocassin Flats.
