Police incident at 8th and Vancouver

PRINCE GEORGE — Update: RCMP say one man was arrested after firing multiple shots from his firearm.

It happened just before 9 a.m. on the 1600-block of 8th Avenue with officers arresting him within five minutes. His name has not been released.

No one was injured in the incident.

Earlier: Avoid 8th Avenue and Vancouver Street.

Multiple RCMP cruisers are present and a witness tells CKPG News that there “are guns drawn.” The incident started just before 9 a.m. Monday morning.

CKPG News has reached out to the Prince George RCMP who will be releasing information about the incident shortly.
