On Family Day, the Cougars showcased their home ice advantage with an 8-1 victory against the Seattle Thunderbirds. Heidt secured three points with two goals and one assist.

Heidt’s second goal of the game marked his thirtieth of the season. This is his first over 30 point season his WHL career. Heidt was named first star of the game for his performance.

The Cats showed no mercy in the rematch game the following night with a 5-1 win against the Thunderbirds. Heidt recorded two points with 1 goal and an assist to Carlin Dezainde’s in first period.

The February 24 game against the Kelowna Rockets saw the Cougars second BC Division Crown with a 6-5 shootout victory.

Heidt earned four points that game becoming the first player in the entire Canadian Hockey League to reach 100 points during the 2023/24 season.

Over the course of 56 games Heidt earned 32 goals and 69 assists. While his 69 assists are below his personal best of 72, set last season, he ranks second in the WHL for assists.
