Downtown student housing closer

PRINCE GEORGE – There could be students living in downtown soon. A Kelowna-based developer was on hand at Council last night for the final public hearing. The project would be located adjacent to the Marriott Hotel and would involve 200 “micro-units” targeting students. The developer says they have successfully developed more than 500 such units elsewhere.
The developer says, once the land deal is done, the hope is to have shovels in the ground this summer. In the past, projects like this one have taken 18 to 20 months to complete.
