Northern B.C. runner set to embark on 144 km ultra-marathon for cancer
PRINCE RUPERT – Following his father’s battle with cancer and eventual passing, Noah Allison, a 27 year old from Prince Rupert, is preparing to embark on the second annual “144 Kilometres for Markus” fundraising run.
“The second annual 144 Kilometres for Markus is a passion project of mine over the last two years that I’ve done as a cancer fundraiser in honour of my late father. It’s a 144 kilometre run from Prince Rupert to Terrace, British Columbia over the course of seven days,” Noah explained.
“I really realized how powerful running can be.”
Beginning on August 10, Noah will run 20 kilometres a day in 5 kilometre segments, where he will be running alongside fellow supporters joining the fight against cancer.
