Upgrades coming to the Golden Triangle
NORTHERN BC – The Red Chris Mine in BC’s Northeast is one of a few mines in BC’s Golden Triangle. An $195 million investment in infrastructure will improve access to that mine.
“The highway improvements, first, will enable to enable safer and more efficient access and movement of people and goods, which will support the local economy in northwest B.C. while also creating new jobs and contract opportunities in the mining supply,” explains Michael Goehring with the Mining Association of BC. “And services sector in Prince George and urban centers even further south like Surrey, Burnaby and Vancouver.’
Two words were on everyone’s lips at the most recent Natural Resources Forum. Critical minerals. Those are the minerals needed for clean energy, digital technology and telecommunications. Just as an example. The Red Chris Mine is part of that Golden Triangle.
