Late comeback helps Cougars beat Giants 6-5
PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Cougars have won three straight games after defeating the Vancouver Giants 6-5 Wednesday night at CN Centre in front of 3,123 fans.
The Cougars won in dramatic fashion, scoring two goals in the final two minutes to win. Terik Parascak scored his 18th goal of the season to tie the game at 5 at the 18:17 mark of the third period then newly acquired Ben Riche scored the game winner at the 19:17 mark to seal the 6-5 victory.
Defenseman Viliam Kmec also scored a pair of goals while Riley Heidt potted his 20th goal of the year and Corbin Vaughan scored his first of the season.
