Natural Resources Forum returns to Prince George Jan.14-16

PRINCE GEORGE — The 22nd annual Natural Resources Forum (BCNRF) takes place at the Civic Centre January 14-16.

It will feature more than 1,300 Indigenous leaders, industry leaders, community members, and government officials.

Organizers say this year’s Forum will explore the interconnected themes of purpose, partnerships, and prosperity, highlighting their role in driving positive economic and social impacts locally and globally.

The BCNRF, the largest multi-sector resource conference and trade show in Northern BC, will feature a number of keynote speakers, including:

• Honourable David Eby, Premier of British Columbia

• Chief Willie Sellars, Williams Lake First Nation

• Jason Klein, CEO, LNG Canada

• Cassandra Mullee, Vice-President, Network Operations, CN

• Chris O’Riley, President and CEO, BC Hydro

• Roger Dall’Antonia, President and CEO, Fortis BC

• Stastia West, Vice President, Canada Integrated Gas

The Forum will kick off on Tuesday, January 14, with workshops focused on benefitsharing agreements and crisis communication strategies. That evening, the Celebrating Natural Resources Banquet will set the tone for the conference, featuring remarks by Chief Dolleen Logan of the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation and a keynote address by Premier David Eby.
