Police arrest six people after shots fired near Upper Fraser Road
PRINCE GEORGE— On January 12, just after 1:30 p.m., Prince George RCMP received reports of gunfire near Upper Fraser Road. This led the officers to a house on the 16700-block of East Perry Road.
“Due to the nature of the incident and the known history of those residing at that location, police officers contained the residence until they could obtain a firearms search warrant for the home. The North District Emergency Response team, the RCMP helicopter Air 3, and our Police Dog Services unit were all called in to assist with the execution of the search warrant,” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.
Six were arrested during the investigation. Five of them were released until the results of Sunday’s investigation are finalized. The sixth person was held in custody on outstanding arrest warrants. Two firearms and a stolen vehicle were located and seized by police during the search of the residence property.
