Trail upgrades for Ferguson Lake Nature Reserve start Monday
PRINCE GEORGE — Trail upgrades are coming soon to the Ferguson Lake Nature Reserve.
The upgrades will close the western portion of the trail starting March 3 and continuing into the summer. The remainder of the trail where construction is not taking place will remain open, but people will be unable to walk the complete loop until the work is complete.
The City of Prince George says the work will involve removing and replacing the old support posts and boardwalk.
The project is budgeted for $276,000 and will be funded primarily through Canada Community Building Fund grants ($220,000) and the remaining $56,000 from the General Infrastructure Reinvestment Fund.
