Two arrested in Massey Drive drug bust

PRINCE GEORGE — A traffic stop last week on Massey Drive led to a large drug and cash seizure.

RCMP pulled over a large SUV along Massey Drive at 6:30 p.m. on March 19 and seized the following:

  • 28 grams of cocaine
  • 97 grams of Fentanyl
  • 3 grams of heroin
  • 86 grams of methamphetamine
  • Less than a gram of Carfentanil
  • More than $14,000 in cash

Given the large quantity of drugs and cash seized, Prince George RCMP Sergeant Craig Douglass says police believe this to be connected to the drug trade.

“Fentanyl is sold by the point, which is one tenth of a gram, so you’re looking at almost one thousand doses of fentanyl. That was just the fentanyl itself in their possession, so clearly that’s not personal use. Clearly they are in possession of these drugs so that they can traffic it to others and cause harm to the community,” Douglass said.

Douglass adds it’s a great example of how regular traffic enforcement often leads to arrests and drug seizures.

He says a male and a female were arrested and charges are pending.
