1. Why are you running for office?
I am a culture watcher. I read and reflect as I observe the deteriorating moral climate of our country. My awareness, my sensitivity to these issues makes me a necessary candidate for this election cycle. My goal is to be the conscience of this campaign. The moral issues must be brought to the discussion. Abortion, marriage, gender confusion, economic “debt curse” on future generations etc As a country we need, above all God’s blessing. Without God’s blessing all our solutions to the deep problems facing our country will simply be bandaids.

2. How does your party plan to address the issue of U.S. tariffs?
We should have mature discussions with the US on the issues that Trump is seeking to address re the wellbeing of his own country. A feisty immature response will only antagonize further. Our trade with the US must be nurtured to the best of our ability. For better or worse we are economically partnered with the US. I am convinced a partnership response rather than an antagonistic response will be far more beneficial for both countries.

3. How would you address the challenges facing some Aboriginal communities across our region?
Some negative stories have gone viral, worldwide. Thank fully our government is, at present funding serious investigation into these stories. We hope reports will come out soon to give clarity. Of importance too, is to hear both sides of the story. Many positive stories are out there of the good that residential schools have done. These stories need to be heart as well, rather than suppressed. We all, first nations as well, need to hear the truth, all the truth, both sides of the discussion. First nations people, our neighbours need to be shaped by the positive stories as well. That will give courage, strength of character etc to become even better contributing citizens of our great country.

4. What’s your stance on the development of pipelines?
The cross Canada energy corridor is long overdue. It is part of the discussion during every election cycle. Promptly forgotten when election is over. Why, probably because the Toronto Montreal strip have all the power in Canada, far more power than all the West together.

5. How high a priority is affordable childcare for your party? What’s your party’s pitch?
The party is pro family. Our economy should be such that one parent can stay at home to care and raise the children. Quality daycare should be available and subsidized for those that have not yet reached that family goal as yet.

6. In light of Canada/USA relations, does Canada need to diversify its economy? If yes, in what way?
Remove interprovincial trade barriers, again part of every election cycle, then promptly forgotten. We need to learn to be a country, far too dependant on US and now China. We need to develop our resources and following that support and encourage our secondary industries. Restrict imports temporarily to nurture these secondary industries ? (possibly).

7. What would you do to help seniors?
The country needs to keep inflation under control. Inflation is eating away at our retirement funds. Control immigration at manageable levels. This would keep rents under control, keep health care more accessible. It is amazing how shortsighted our politicians have been!

8. How would you address the opioid crisis?
We need to stop Chinese drug import, I understand very few Containers are inpected at the harbours. We need to stop fentanyl production here in BC, it has become a growth industry,, much of this crosses the border to the US, no wonder they are very pro – border closing.

9. Where in the riding do you live? Why? What are your favourite places to spend time in?
We live in the neighbouring riding. The election boundary changed for this election. Now it put us in the Peace River Prince George Riding. But we are close enough to through a stone into the riding in which I am running. We live near our city park, Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park, We enjoy the green spaces through out our city. Cottonwood Park, near the confluence of our two great rivers, is very enjoyable.

9. Who’s your favourite singer/band?
Joslin Grove choral Society
We enjoy watching and listening to the hymns that speak truth, hope, love, and courage.
