Cougars shutout by Blazers in penultimate WHL preseason game

KAMLOOPS — The Prince George Cougars are still searching for their first win of the 2025 WHL preseason.

They were shutout by the Kamloops Blazers, who came away with a 3-0 win at Sandman Centre Friday (Sept. 12) night.

Jordan Keller opened the scoring for the Blazers with a shot from the corner in the opening minute of the first period. Connor Radke doubled the lead in the first period before JP Hurlbert rounded out the scoring in the second period.

Logan Edmonstone made 23 saves to pick up the win for the Blazers, while the Cougars’ Alexedander Levyshyn turned aside 33 of 36 shots.
