16 Timberwolves Earn 2024-25 U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian Honours
PRINCE GEORGE — Sixteen UNBC Timberwolves have earned the distinction of U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian status from the 2024-25 season, recognizing their commitment to excellence in the classroom as well as in competition.
The annual Academic All-Canadian Celebration took place Tuesday evening at the Northern Lights Estate Winery, where student-athletes who achieved a minimum Grade Point Average of 3.67 (A- average or higher) were formally honoured.
“Celebrating our Academic All-Canadians is a highlight that we look forward to every year,” said Loralyn Murdoch, UNBC Director of Athletics & Recreation. “These student-athletes embody the balance, discipline, and dedication that define what it means to be a Timberwolf. They have helped strengthen the culture of academic and athletic success at UNBC.”
For the 2024-25 season, it was the UNBC Women’s Basketball team who once again earned the Office of the Provost Academic Achievement Award, finishing with an impressive team GPA of 3.48. The honour is presented annually to the Timberwolves varsity program with the highest collective GPA. Remarkably, this marks the sixth consecutive year the Women’s Basketball program has captured the award.
