Conifex has announced that they will curtail their operations at their Mackenzie sawmill for four weeks, starting December 15th. Plus citing last week’s grizzly bear attack on a group of school children and a teacher near Bella Coola,the B.C. Wildlife Federation is calling for the return of the grizzly bear hunt. And another tax increase could be in the cards for taxpayers in the City of Prince George, as a first draft budget set to be discussed next week, is proposing an increase of nearly six percent, to maintain current service levels.
