UNBC celebrates International Women’s Day

PRINCE GEORGE — Today is International Women’s Day – it’s an opportunity for the achievements and successes of women, past and present to be celebrated.

UNBC had a number of events happening this afternoon – including a display in the Winter Garden. 

Organizers of the event say there are a number of inspiring feminist leaders in our community – including City Councillor Cori Ramsay, former councillor, Jillian Merrick, and even Mayor Lyn Hall.

They add it’s important to have leaders of all backgrounds to spark change, and encourage equality.
