PRINCE GEORGE — UPDATE: School District 57 says Polaris Montessori School will be ready to welcome staff and students back to normal operations this coming Monday.

UPDATE: RCMP say school staff will be contacting parents for pick up arrangements.

EARLIER: Threats have prompted the evacuation of Polaris Montessori School in College Heights.

The Prince George RCMP made the decision following dialogue with the Prince George School District.

“Although there has not been a specific threat to any one individual, as a precautionary measure, School District 57 will evacuate the school,” says Cpl. Madonna Saunderson, who notes the students will be bussed to College Heights Elementary.

“If parents and or guardians wish to pick up their child(ren) they can do so at College Heights Elementary. Police are actively working to determine the exact source of the threat and ask that parents not attend Polaris Montessori School.”
