Vees top Cougars, 5-2

PRINCE GEORGE — The Penticton Vees defeated the Prince George Cougars Tuesday night before 2,840 fans at the CN Centre.
Kooper Gizowski and Carson Carels had the goals for Prince George, who were outshot 40-32. Diego Johnson scored the game winner for the Vees.
With the win, Penticton leapfrogged Prince George into first place in the WHL’s B.C. Division and the Vees have a game in hand.
The teams meet again Wednesday night at the CN Centre. Puck drop is at 7 p.m.
