Commercial structure fire on Northwood Pulpmill Road causes $50k in damages

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Fire Rescue responded to a commercial structure fire on the 2300 block of Northwood Pulpmill Road Wednesday night (Jan.7).

Crews from three halls arrived at approximately 6 p.m. to find a multi-unit residential occupancy with light smoke coming from a unit on the second floor of the complex. Crews quickly extinguished the fire and made sure it didn’t extend to other units. Damage is estimated at $50,000.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
