Volunteers power Prince George’s Teck BC Cup as 300+ athletes descend on Caledonia Nordic
PRINCE GEORGE – This weekend, Prince George is welcoming over 300 cross-country skiers from all over British Columbia for the Teck BC Cup Number One, made possible by a dedicated team of local volunteers. The two-day event, held at the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club, marks the first stop on the provincial cup series. Here, athletes will earn essential points towards the BC Championships and chase their Olympic aspirations.
This weekend will see a significant increase in activity in Prince George, with over 300 registered athletes and 70 coaches arriving from 30 to 40 different communities across the province. The weekend kicks off with Saturday’s Classic technique interval start races, set to begin at 10 AM, followed by Sunday’s mass start Free technique competitions.
