Small Town Boots, Big League Dreams, Northern BC Youth Head to Europe for Soccer Immersion

PRINCE GEORGE – Soccer has become one of the most beloved sports among young people during the summer. This year, a select group of talented athletes from northern BC are preparing to travel to Europe for training sessions and to experience professional soccer matches firsthand.

Over the years, the Northern Sports Center has become a vital training hub for nearly 70 young athletes preparing to head to the United Kingdom in March. Many are eager to improve their skills and challenge themselves on the international stage.

One of the main goals of the travelling youth team is to gain a deeper understanding of how soccer is woven into the fabric of various cultures.

During their eight-day itinerary, the youth will have the chance to attend three top-level soccer games and work closely with the coaches from those teams.
