PRINCE GEORGE — B-C’s Independent Investigations Office says it has reviewed evidence including police bodycam footage linked to the case of a Prince George man who died during officers’ response to a noise complaint last August.
The I-I-O says the man was found in medical distress on August 24th when police responded to the call to find a man holding an object possibly a weapon in a room.
The police watchdog agency says officers then closed the door and waited for backup, then entered the room about 45 minutes later to find the man in medical distress.
He was later pronounced dead, and the I-I-O says the investigation into police action in the case is ongoing.
