PRINCE GEORGE — Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for the Pine Pass area.
The weather agency is warning of periods of freezing rain in the Peace Region and Pine Pass Sunday (Feb. 1) morning until early afternoon.
“A warm front is spreading periods of freezing rain to the area,” the warning said. “Freezing precipitation will continue until early this afternoon as the front moves out of the region. Roads and walkways will likely become icy and slippery.”
Environment Canada is reminding people that weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
