City warns of temporary service disruptions Sunday due to 2026 Prince George Iceman race
PRINCE GEORGE — The City of Prince George is reminding residents to expect temporary service disruptions this Sunday (Feb. 8) when the 39th annual Prince George Iceman race takes place.
The city is urging drivers to be careful around the race route and to follow directions from volunteers between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. The route has changed this year due to the closure of the Aquatic Centre, meaning runners will make their way from the Ice Oval to the Canfor Leisure Pool.
“The main pool and teach pool at the Canfor Leisure Pool will be closed from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to make way for the swimming portion of the race,” the city said. “All other pool amenities will remain open including the leisure pool, waterslide, lazy river, steam room and sauna.”
