Woman reported missing found deceased in rural area outside Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE — A woman reported missing early Saturday morning has been found deceased.
RCMP won’t release the person’s name due to privacy laws, but CKPG News has learned it was 44-year- old Leandra McLane – who was reported missing on Saturday shortly after 2 a.m. from the 16000-block of East Perry Road, northeast of Prince George.
“Police officers quickly determined that Prince George Search and Rescue would be a valuable partner in this investigation. After two days of searching with police officers, Search and Rescue volunteers, and a police dog services team, the person was located deceased on February 8, a short distance from the residence. Foul play is not suspected in this case,” stated Corporal Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.
The Prince George RCMP Victim Services unit has been engaged to work with the friends and family of the deceased at this sad time.
