Fraser Lake Inn and other businesses destroyed in weekend fire

FRASER LAKE — A devastating fire destroyed the Fraser Lake Inn over the weekend.
The fire broke out early Sunday morning at 3 a.m. at the Fraser Lake Shopping Centre. The Fraser Lake Inn, a cannabis store, the Everyday Grocery Store, and a vacant commercial space were all destroyed. The Fraser Lake Supermarket was spared and is open today (Feb.23).
No word yet on the cause of the fire or if anyone was injured. Mayor Sarrah Storey has launched a gofundme page to assist the Fraser Lake Volunteer Fire Department with new equipment.
