Prince George legend approaching historic milestone
PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Cougars host the Wenatchee Wild on March 13 and 14 in a weekend doubleheader that has a lot of significance for the Cougars playoff positioning. However, for many in Prince George, an equally as important headline is the return of Don Nachbaur to the city he grew up in, as he comes in as the head coach of the Wenatchee Wild.
“There’s a lot of people, family, I talk to all the time, but there’s been friends from high school, guys that I have played hockey with, there’s been multiple guys that have reached out to me from back in the day. It’s always nice to come home and see them again,” Nachbaur said.
While he’s enjoying the opportunity to reconnect with family and friends, and many in the stands will be happy to see him on the opposing bench, he says he and his team are still locked in on taking care of business on the ice.
