Abbotsford – A teenager from Abbotsford has had his driver’s licence suspended after being found guilty of several driving offences. RCMP Highway Patrol has released video footage to highlight the dangers of speeding and making unsafe driving choices.

A cell phone video, given to police by choice, shows the teen putting himself and his friends in danger instead of stopping for a routine speeding ticket.

The incident happened in July 2025, when a BMW sedan was caught going 180 km/h in a 100 km/h zone on Highway One. Rather than stopping, the 16-year-old driver sped off with his two friends, eventually crashing into a parked dump truck.
