Cougars eliminate Chiefs in Game 6

PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Cougars defeated the Spokane Chiefs 5-3 Sunday night to advance to the second round of the WHL playoffs.
The Cougars won the series 4-2, and punched their ticket to the next round in front of 5,376 fans at the CN Centre.
Dmitri Yakutsenak scored twice, including the game winner in the second period to clinch the win. Other Cougar scorers included Kooper Gizowski, Riley Ashe, and Terik Parascak.
The Cougars outshot the Chiefs 29-24 with Joshua Ravensbergen picking up the win in goal. Next up for the Cougars will be the Penticton Vees.
