Cougars preparing for a tough opponent in WHL second round
PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Cougars will hit the ice Friday in unfamiliar territory as for the first time in four years they will be starting a playoff series on the road. The Cats open their second round playoff series in Penticton against the expansion Vees who have had the Cougars number this season winning five out of six games. But if the Cougars previous round taught them anything it’s that nothing is guaranteed in playoff hockey and overcoming adversity will be key.
“We just have to find our game early. Our record against Penticton this year means absolutely nothing. The playoffs is a brand new animal. ” said Prince George Cougars General Manger and Head Coach Mark Lamb.
Prince George Cougars forward Kooper Gizowski said the first round built character in the squad.
