Spruce Kings issue call for community support
PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Spruce Kings are asking for the community to rally behind the club for two vital initiatives. The first initiative is the Show Home Lottery which is the organization’s largest annual fundraiser. The lottery is in it’s final week with a Wednesday, April 15th deadline with the Grand Prize draw taking place two days later on Friday, April 17th. This year’s grand prize is a new fully furnished home at 2922 Links Drive in Aberdeen Glen with tickets costing 125$ each.
“For the Spruce Kings every one of those tickets means something for for them whether it’s a hockey stick, a meal or a night in a hotel. The Spruce Kings have one of the largest travel budgets in the entire league so every ticket sold really helps the team move forward, especially with the expenses that have been accrued this season and then making sure that they’re all ready for the playoff run as well.” said Spruce Kings play by play commentator Kyle Anderson.
The second initiative is on the ice as the Spruce Kings are in the midst of a back and forth first round series with division rivals the Langley Rivermen in the 2026 Rogers BCHL playoffs. The club is calling on the community to come out and fill the rink in support the Spruce Kings as they look to take advantage of home ice advantage in a pivotal game 5 showdown at Kopar Memorial Friday evening at 7pm.
